Pieces of me

It's been so long I haven't put up a post that I feel like this is my very first but with a year and half left in college my courses are getting much harder and my assignment load just keeps on piling up so unfortunately this blog had to take a back seat.

On the brighter side though I am back and even though for now I may not be able to update posts on a regular basis I will try my best to squeeze in a post or two once I do get a breather!

I mean nothing is more soothing after being mentally raped by class and exams than blogging!

So not a lot of people know this not even my parents but I really love sketching and just drawing whatever I may come across but I have never actually showed people my sketches, so i decided to start a post called "Pieces of me" where i will basically just be sharing pages from my sketchbooks. Now I am in no shape or form the next Leonardo Da Vinci and some of my sketches are incomplete but I just thought it would be a great way to open up and just show you guys what I do when I should technically be listening to my professor and making study notes.

Enough babbling below is page 1 of further more to come:

So that's about all if you know of any great artistic horror blogs please do let me know so I can follow and procrastinate even more.

So lets dive right into it...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the man that gave me my very first nightmare...Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger who turned 65 today. He is forever engraved in the Horror Hall of fame and because of his stellar performance in Nightmare on Elm street I was turned into a horror movie junkie, thank you for the many and I mean many night terrors i had as a child your are all sorts of kickass awesomeness!

WARNING: The next idiot who tries to play Freddy Krueger in another Nightmare on elm street remake and isn't Robert Englund will be shot...and if you so happen to survive you will be shot again!

UPCOMING HORROR MOVIE REVIEW:

The Devil Inside

In Italy, a woman becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms during her mission to discover what happened to her mother, who allegedly murdered three people during her own exorcism.

Director: William Brent Bell

RANDOM HORROR FACT OF THE DAY:

One of the most gruesome forms of execution was Sawing.

In Execution by sawing, the criminal would be hung upside-down and a large saw would be used to cut their body in half, starting with the groin, all the way to the head. Because the person was hanging upside-down, the brain received sufficient blood to keep them alive until the saw finally reached the main blood vessels in the abdomen. In the Asian version of this execution, the victim would stand upright and the sawing would begin at the top of the head.
Some traditions state that the Prophet Isaiah was executed by the saw. It is believed that Saint Paul is making reference to this in his Epistle to the Hebrews 11:37:
They were stoned, they were cut asunder, they were tempted, they were put to death by the sword, they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being in want, distressed, afflicted.
This method of execution was used in the Middle East, Europe, and parts of Asia. It was also used in the Roman Empire and was considered to be the favorite punishment dished out by Emperor Caligula.

Well that's all for now my horror minions...will try not to get kidnapped again by those damn witches, zombies damnit what did i say before...OH YES lygers!!
